Larisa L. Gerver
Doctor of Art Criticism (1998), Professor at the Department of Analytical Musicology, the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music. Author of the books “Music and Musical Mythology in Russian Poetry of the 20th Century (First Decades)” (2001) and “Inganno and Other Secrets of the Polyphonic Technique of the Second Half of 16th— Beginning of the 17th Century” (2018) as well as more than 100 articles. Main areas of scientific interest: compositional techniques of the 17th and 18th centuries; musical means of organization in poetry. Several articles by Larisa Gerver deal with a corpus of poetical texts chosen by certain composers for their chamber vocal works—focusing on their internal unity.
