The essay considers new possibilities and perspectives on the ambiguous situation in the composer’s work today. First, the author points out that the composer’s activity goes beyond the purely musical sphere and interacts with new media and visual means, neural networks, scientific and technological achievements, theatre and humanitarian thought. An important role is played by the discovery or reinvention of artistic practices involving both composers themselves and listeners and viewers; visualisation of sound, performance, instrumental and authorial images. It is equally important to understand what audience the composer’s work is aimed at and to work with that audience.
