Abstract

The article explores the nature of the discrepancies between the script and the final result in the musical series and, more broadly, the sound concept of the film as a whole. The author, directly involved in the creation of the musical track of the film by the outstanding director and artist Rustam Khamdamov “The Bottomless Bag” talks about the director’s work with music specially composed for the film by N. Popov, as well as with works by D. Kourliandski and E. Elgar. The musicologist pays special attention to how the piano music of the English classic sounds in a new way in combination with the lubok world of the Russian fairy tale, which unfolds in the space of the film.
