Sergei A. А. Uvarov

In 2006, he graduated from The Gnesins State Music College, and in 2011, from Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Candidate of Art Criticism (2015; “Music in the Films of Alexander Sokurov,” academic advisor M. A. Saponov). Author of five monographs. Director and screenwriter of the films “Organ Symphony” (2019) and “In Search of Harmony” (2023). Winner of Kurekhin Prize. He has edited and prepared performances of musical works by Mikhail Matyushin: “Composition in Quarter Tones for Violin with Piano Accompaniment” (Melody, 2023), “Victory over the Sun” (Moscow Philharmonic, 2024), “Autumn Dream” (Zotov Center, 2025). Since 2024, he has been the director of the Film Music Center at Moscow Conservatory, sinse 2025 he has also been research fellow at St. Petersburg Museum of Avant-garde (Matyushin’s House).
