From Competition to Workshop: A New Ecosystem for Supporting Young Musicians
This article examines the International Hibla Gerzmava Vocalists and Accompanists Competition, established in 2022, and the singer’s Opera Workshop, created in 2026 as a preliminary step and the first stage of the competition. The paper thoroughly explores the specific features of both formats, the principles of an integrated approach to training young artists, the challenges of educational projects for young musicians, and the solutions developed by Hibla Gerzmava’s team. The author analyzes the three-year journey from the first competition to the workshop and presents the results of implementing a new support ecosystem for emerging singers. The aim of the article is to present the competition and the workshop as complementary phenomena that offer beginning artists a clear trajectory for professional development.
