Alisa Freindlich, contrary to the laws of the time, does not lose her charm and attractiveness and conducts a dialogue from the stage and the screen with several generations of viewers and listeners. Pianist Semyon Skigin was lucky enough to collaborate with her, to go on the concert stage with her and fulfil his old dream―to return Christmas and the Bible to the Russian stage. Today it seems self-evident, but half a century ago it took courage to declare: “I am a deeply religious person!” loudly. This article tells about how this happened, about the musical life of Leningrad in the eighties of the last century.
