Galina V. Grigorieva

Doctor of Art Criticism (1986). Professor of the Music Theory Department at Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (1990). Honored Artist of the Russia (since 1994). Member of the Union of Russian Composers. Grigorieva taught course of contemporary music with musicologists and composers from 1981 to 2008, teaches course “Musical form” for choir conductors and pianists and supervises diploma works (Final Quali­fying Work) for choir conductors. Author of many books: “Stylistic Problems of Russian Soviet Music of the Second Half of the 20th Cen­­tury” (Moscow, 1989), “Nikolai Sidelnikov” (Mos­cow, 2014), “My Thirty Years with Edison Deni­sov” (Moscow, 2017); textbooks “Musical forms of the 20th century” (Moscow, 2004), “Musical Forms in the Choirs by S. I. Taneyev” (Moscow, 2021), “Music of the 20th Century: From Avant-garde to Postmodern” (in collaboration with M. Vysotskaya, Moscow, 2011, 2014).
