Nataliya S. Schliefstein
Musicologist, senior lecturer at Ippolitov-Ivanov State Musical Pedagogical Institute where she teaches the history of West-European music. Her articles and translations have appeared in a number of specialized periodicals, including “Muzykal’naya akademiya” [Music Academy]. The articles examine the works of Beethoven, Schubert, Bruckner, Mahler, and the contemporary Russian composers L. Gofman and V. Silvestrov. Her translations include the lyrics to the songs by Schönberg, Webern and Kshenek (in co-authorship with L. Gofman).
