Roman A. Nasonov

Born in Voronezh in 1971. Graduated from the Piano Department of Academic Music College at Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (1990), the Music Theory and History Department of Moscow Conservatory (1994). Ph. D. thesis: “Athanasius Kircher’s Musurgia Universalis: Musical Science in the Context of the Early Baroque Musical Practice” (scientific advisors—Yu. N. Kholopov and M. A. Saponov, 1996). Since 1996 he has been teaching at the Subdepartment of Foreign Music History of Moscow Conservatory. Associate Professor since 2004. Since 1998 he has been teaching also at the Subdepartment of Literary and Art Criticism and Publicism at the Department of Journalism, Lomonosov Moscow State University.
