Alexander V. Komarov

In 2002, he graduated from the Music History and Theory Department, Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (class of Daniil Petrov). In 2007, A. V. Komarov successfully defended his Candidate Dissertation “The Restoration of Works by P. I. Tchaikovsky in the History of Rus­sian Mu­sical Textual Criticism” (scientific ad­vi­sor—Daniil Petrov). Since 2003, he has worked at the Russian National Museum of Music, at present — as a Leading Researcher at the De­partment of Documents and Personal Archives. From 2007 to the present, he also works as a Senior Researcher at the Music History De­part­ment of the State Institute for Art Studies (Mos­cow). Author of more than 90 printed works, including research articles, publications of musical pieces and documents, and annotated
catalogues. Author of the idea, scientific concept and all annotations for the electronic data­base of handwritten heritage “Tchaikovsky: Open World” on the Internet-portal “Kul’tura.rf.”
Member of the editorial board of the encyclopedia “Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky” (updated resource on the website of the State Institute for Art Studies). Participates in preparing several volumes of the Academic Complete Works of P. I. Tchaikovsky.
