Vladislav E. Grigoriev

Composer, laureate of international and all-Rus­sian competitions in composition. Born in 1995 in Veliky Novgorod. Graduated from Rach­ma­ninov Novgorod Regional College of Arts, specialising in Music Theory. From 2016 to 2021 studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory, specialising in composition. Upon graduation he defended his thesis on “Artistic sources of three late works by Faus­to Romitelli,” supervisor—A. A. Korol’yov. He graduated from assistant-internship at St. Peters­­­burg Conservatory, specialising in the Art of Com­po­sition, (class of A. A. Korol’yov). Upon gra­­duation he defended his thesis on the theme “Synthesis of mass, electronic and acade­mic music in the work of Johannes Kreidler,” supervisor—E. Sh. Davidenkova-Khmara. From 2021 to 2023 he studied at the Master’s programme at St. Petersburg State University, spe­cialising in Music Criticism. Defended his master’s thesis on “Interaction of popular, electronic and aca­demic music in the 21st century: concepts, tech­nologies, implementation strategies,” super­visor—E. S. Khodorkovskaya. Since 2023 he is attached to the Special Composition and Impro­visation Department of St. Peters­burg Con­servatory for the preparation of a thesis for the degree of Candidate of Sciences (super­visor—S. V. Lavrova).
