The essay spotlights the historical development and changes in musical systems and types of sound organization from the Baroque to the avant-garde. The article considers both the progressive role and the process of hardening one or another system, including even twelve-tone. The author sees ways of overcoming these problems and new musical paths in the strengthening of microtonics, sonoristics, a radical rethinking of the rhythm, and scientific and technical discoveries. Summarizing the note with the thesis about the logical development of music on the axis of time, the author simultaneously leaves behind brackets the answer to the question in which direction this movement is going.
