Abstract
Pyotr Pospelov (1962–2023) was one of his time’s most influential journalists. Music criticism in the 1990s in Russia spoke with his voice and largely defined the way of writing on music in our country today. Besides, Pospelov found himself in composition, and towards the end of his life he won recognition as the author of theatrical scores. Musicologist Yaroslav Timofeev shares his reflections and memories about his passed-away colleague and friend.
