Artur A. Zobnin

Violinist and composer, chairman of the St. Pe­ters­burg branch of MolOt, director of the St. Peters­burg MolOt-Ensemble. In 2009–2014 he studied at Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Con­ser­vatory in violin (Professor I. V. Ioff) and compo­sition (Professor G. I. Banshchikov), in 2014–2016 as an assistant-internship in the same place. Took part in the festivals “Arts Square,” “Stars of the White Nights,” “From the Avant-Garde to the Present Day,” “Sound Ways,” reMusik.org. As a soloist he has performed with the St. Peters­burg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Yaroslavl Governor’s Academic Symphony Or­ches­tra, the St. Petersburg Chamber Philhar­mo­nic Orchestra, and the Tavrichesky Youth International Symphony Orchestra. Member of the Moscow residence of the American ensemble Bang on a Can All stars (2014). Trainee at the Fourth International Academy of Young Composers in Tchaikovsky (2014), student at the Fifth (2015). The works of Artur Zobnin were performed by the Yaroslavl Governor’s Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of St. Pe­tersburg State Conservatory, the chamber choir Festino, N. Pshenichnikova, ensembles Cantan­do, In corpore, Vortex (Switzerland), En­semble for New Music Tallinn (Estonia), Mariin­sky New Music Ensemble, Sound Ways, St. Pe­ters­burg MolOt-Ensemble. Laureate of inter­national competitions, scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation (2015, 2016).
