Natal’ya M. Zeyfas

Doctor of Art Criticism, Professor of the Russian Music History and Theory Department at Victor Popov Academy of Choral Art. Born in Rostov-onDon, graduated from Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory with a degree in musicology and then completed extramural postgraduate studies at the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (now the Russian Institute of Art History, St. Petersburg). She worked in the USSR State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting, in “Muzykal’naya akademiya” [Music Academy] magazine; since 1992—at the Academy of Choral Art. Member of the Moscow Union of Composers and the Dissertation Council of Glinka Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory. The author of three monographs and more than 50 articles.
