Irina Ya. Vershinina

Candidate of Art Criticism (1968). In 1949, graduated from Ippolitov-Ivanov Music College as a musicolo­gist and a pianist, in 1954—from the Music History and Theory Department of the Gnesins Musical Pedagogical Institute. In 1957—finished a postgra­duate course at the State Institute for Art Studies (Sector of Music History). In 1957–1974—Junior Researcher at the State Institute for Art Studies. From 1974—Senior Editor at the Folklore Editors Office at Publishing House “Sovetskiy kompositor” (“Soviet Composer”). The author of book “Early Ballets by Stravinsky” (Moscow, 1967) and a number of articles.
