Shmuel Tatz

Internationally renowned physiotherapy specia­list. The author of the “Body Tuning” system, which combines the best achievements of Wes­tern medicine, including hardware, with Eastern healing practices (acupuncture, tai chi gymnastics, yoga and others). He developed his own methods of working with instrumentalists, singers, dancers, actors. Born in Lithuania in 1946. He worked with Soviet Olympic teams in the 1970s and gained experience in the treatment of sports injuries. He immigrated to Israel in 1973, opened in Tel Aviv the world’s first clinic specializing in professional diseases of musicians and problems of the performing apparatus. In 1982, together with his wife, pianist Golda Weinberg, he moved to New York. He currently owns a clinic in Manhattan and continues to practice. There are internationally renowned musicians and dancers among his patients. Author of several books, including “Hands on a Keyboard” (Kaunas, 1996).
