Olga A. Skorbyashchenskaya
Doctor of Arts, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of General Course and Methods of Teaching Piano, Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory. Born in 1962 in Dnepropetrovsk, USSR, graduated from the Piano Department of Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory and graduate school of LGITMiK (now—Russian State Institute of the Performing Arts). Candidate Dissertation: “Piano work of K. M. von Weber in the context of the culture of German romanticism” (1993), Doctoral Dissertation: “Piano work of Adolf von Henselt (1819–1889) on intersection of Western European and Russian musical cultures” (2021). Member of the St. Petersburg branch of the Union of Composers of Russia, the International Weber Society, the International Henselt Society.
