Born in 1962 in Dnepro­petrovsk, USSR, graduated from the Piano Department of Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory and graduate school of LGITMiK (now—Russian State Institute of the Per­forming Arts). Candidate Dissertation: “Piano work of K. M. von Weber in the context of the culture of German romanticism” (1993), Docto­ral Dissertation: “Piano work of Adolf von Hen­selt (1819–1889) on intersection of Western Euro­pean and Russian musical cultures” (2021). Mem­ber of the St. Petersburg branch of the Union of Composers of Russia, the Interna­tional Weber Society, the International Henselt Society.
