Anna A. Shtrom

Candidate of Art Criticism, laureate of international competitions, Dean of the Piano Department at Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory. As a pianist, she gave solo concerts in Russia and abroad (Germany, United States, Serbia, Slovenia, and Macedonia). She toured as a soloist with the Musica Viva Chamber Orchestra conducted by Alexander Rudin and with the Vivaldi Chamber Orchestra conducted by Svetlana Bezrodnaya at music festivals: “Ohrid Summer Festival” (Macedonia), “Festival Ljubljana” (Slovenia), and “Belgrade Summer Festival” (Serbia). She performed with Kras­noyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra and Sym­phony Orchestra of the Macedonian Philhar­monic. She combines her pedagogical and concert activities with scientific research and makes reports at international and national scientific conferen­ces. The main areas of research are chamber-vocal and piano music of Russian composers. In terms of edu­cational and methodological activities, she works out and edits state educational standards, creates exemplary and main educational programs in diffe­rent training specialties, and acts as an expert in assessing documents and educational and methodical literature, provided by universities. She is an accredi­ted expert of the Federal Education and Science Supervision Service.
