Sufiya Muratalieva G.

Associate Professor of the General Music His­tory Department at Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia. Born in Moscow. In 1968 graduated with honors from The Gnesins State Music College, in 1973 graduated with honors from Moscow Conservatory. In 1985 she defended her Candidate of Science (Art Criticism) Disser­tation on the topic “The Paths of Historical Development of the Sonata in the 18th Century” (supervised by E. M. Tsareva). In 1973–1980 was a teacher at the Department of Music Theory and Composition at Kyrgyz State Institute of Arts. Since 1980 worked at the USSR Ministry of Culture, since 1992—at the Russian Ministry of Culture, dealing with issues of educational institutions. Since 2003 is working at Moscow Conservatory (until 2005—vice-rector for acade­mic work, currently—Academic Secretary of the Academic Council, Deputy Dean of the Scientific-Composition Faculty).
