Uliana V. Lovchikova

Started her musical education at the Konserva­torium Georg-Friedrich-Händel, Halle Saale, 2003‒2004. Currently continues with her studies at Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory at the Department for the Art of Performance on Historical and Contemporary Instruments under associate professor Ya. Ju. Katznelson (piano); professor O. V. Martynova (harpsichord, fortepiano); professor O. A. Filippova (continuo, improvisation). Uliana is a laureate of several international competitions (in Italy, France and Czech Republic). She was also awarded with the Special Prize for the art of improvisation at the 7th Landowska Competition (Italy). Uliana is a frequent participant of mastercourses (lead by R. Egarr, Zvi Meniker and others), festivals and art projects combining different trends of interpretation and paradigmatic approaches: reconstructing the baroque operas of Cl. Mon­teverdi (“Arianna”) in the Sats Children’s Musical Theater, directed by A. Lawrence-King; sharing the stage with the “Gnessin Virtuosi” chamber orchestra, “January Evenings Festival” in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts (2016‒2017) and recording a DVD with pieces by J. S. Bach, A. Vivaldi and T. G. Albinoni; playing the conti­nuo part at Moscow Conservatory Baroque Orchestra; multiple participating in the edu­ca­tional program of Dyagilev Festival in Perm and others. Uliana is an active chamber performer.
