Viktor A. Licht
Violinist, musicologist, journalist. Born in 1944 in Moscow. Graduated from the Saratov Conservatory as a violinist (1962–1969) and musicologist (1971–1975), and completed his postgraduate studies at the Moscow Conservatory (1976–1979). He worked at music schools in Saratov and Balashikha, at the Saratov Conservatory, at the magazine “Soviet Music” (since 1980 as a freelancer, and in 1986–1991 as a full-time employee), at the “Russian Music Newspaper” (1991–1993), and at the music news agency “Tourne” (1993–1997). Since 1997 he lives in Israel. He worked at the sheet music publishing house Israeli Music Publication. Since 1998, he has been a contributor to the Russian-language newspaper “Vesti,” and since 2000, he has been its editor and music columnist. He currently writes articles for various publications, including the Moscow-based online magazine “Da capo al fine.”
