Yuriy V. Krasavin

Born 1953 in Har’kov. Graduated from Rimsky-Korsakov Leningrad Music College and Leningrad Conservatory in 1986. In 1999 he was awarded the prize of Prokofiev International Composers Competition. Then the premiere of his ballet “Magrittomania” took place at San Francisco Opera House (choreographer — Yuriy Posokhov). Winner of the Golden Mask Prize in 2019 for the transcription of the ballet “Paquita” (staged at the Ural Opera Ballet, 2018). The main works: 4 ballets, 2 piano concertos, 2 piano sonatas, orchestral and chamber works, music for children, film scores (for S. Ursulyak, P. Lungin, V. Kott).
