Georgiy V. Kovalevskiy
Candidate of Science (Art Criticism), music critic, lecturer, research fellow at the Russian Institute of Art History, and lecturer at St. Petersburg State University. Graduated from Glinka Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory and completed his postgraduate studies under T. N. Levaya. Research interests include contemporary classical music, musical theater, music criticism, and the history of Russian musical culture. Regularly publishes in national press (“Musical Life,” “Kommersant,” and “Nezavisimaya Gazeta”) and on online portals, and gives educational lectures and presentations in Russia. Served on the expert councils and juries of national and regional musical and theater competitions (including the Golden Mask national award).
