Nikita A. Dubov

Conductor and musicologist, laureate of inter­national competitions. Born in 1990 in Leningrad. Graduated from Smolny Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences at St. Petersburg State University, then from Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory (balalaika class), and also from Vienna University of Music and Theater Arts (class of symphonic conducting and accompanist skills). Author of musicological works for Russian and foreign publications, winner of the All-Russian Prize for young music critics “Resonance” (2021) and the first prize in the competition for young musicologists of the journal “Music Academy” (2022). From 2017 to 2019, he led a course of lectures and demonstrations “Opera: Instructions for Use” at the “Heart” cultural center (St. Petersburg). Nikita Dubov is a mem­ber of the Vienna State Opera Choir and the Arnold Schoenberg Choir. As a playwright he collaborated with Theater an der Wien and the Salzburg Festival.
