Mikhail E. Dubov

Graduated from Tchaikovsky Moscow State Con­servatory and completed postgraduate studies in three specialities: piano (class of V. V. Gor­­no­­­staeva), organ (class of A. A. Parshin) and musicology. Professor at Moscow Conserva­tory, Dean of the Faculty of Historical and Con­tem­porary Performing Arts, Candidate of Art Criticism, winner of the Seiler, Golden Mask and Pure Sound prizes. Soloist of the Moscow Ensemble of Contemporary Music (MASM). He has also performed as a member of such creative groups as the Academy of Early Music, Pocket symphony and the Studio of New Music. Mikhail Dubov has been the first performer of many works by Russian and foreign composers and has worked with major contemporary composers (E. Denisov, S. Gubaidulina, J. Xenakis, T. Murai, B. Furrer and others). Among the orchestras with which he has appeared as soloist are the GASO, BSO, NFOR, the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Musica Viva, New Russia, and Ensemble Modern. He has collaborated with conductors V. Jurow­ski, T. Currentzis, F. Chizhevsky, A. Rudin and J. Noseda.
