Elena V. Biteryakova

Candidate of Art Criticism, Senior Researcher at Kli­ment Kvitka Folk Music Research Centre of Tchai­­kovsky Moscow State Conservatory. Born in 1974 in Volzhsky, Volgograd region. Studied at the Vol­go­grad College of Arts (1993–1998), Tchai­kov­sky Moscow State Conservatory (1993–1998, 1998–2001 — postgraduate studies). Author of over 90 publications on the Western European and Russian music of the 19th century, ethno­­mu­si­cology, and the history of musical folk­lore studies.
